Terms of sale

What these terms cover

These terms apply to every order placed on this shop. By ordering, you accept them. They are written for consumers buying for private use.

The shop is operated by Azae (SRL), Chaussée d'Alsemberg 897, 1180 Uccle, Belgium, VAT BE 1030.335.879. You can reach a person at hello@tellmestories.ai.

What you are buying

Every item sold here is made to order from your own family. You describe your family, we illustrate it, you look at the result on the product page, and only then do you decide whether to have it printed. Nothing is produced before you order, and nothing is stocked.

Prices

Prices are shown in the currency of the shop and include shipping. Applicable taxes are shown at checkout before you pay.

If you shop from outside the shop currency zone, your bank or Shopify may convert the amount at its own rate. That converted amount is not set by us.

Placing an order

Your order is a proposal to buy. It becomes a contract when we send you the order confirmation. Payment is handled by Shopify Payments; we never see or store your card details.

We can refuse an order if the file cannot be printed, if the item cannot be shipped to your address, or if the order is obviously fraudulent. If we do, you are refunded in full.

Delivery

We print in Europe and ship with a tracked carrier. Delivery normally takes 2 to 6 working days from the moment your file goes to press. Those times come from the carrier and can vary by destination.

If your parcel has not arrived 30 days after the confirmation, write to us and we either reship or refund.

Your right of withdrawal, and why it does not apply here

Under EU consumer law, you normally have 14 days to change your mind about an online purchase.

That right does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised (Directive 2011/83/EU, article 16(c), transposed in Belgium by article VI.53, 3° of the Code of Economic Law). Everything sold here is illustrated from your own family and printed for you alone, so it falls squarely in that exception.

We tell you this here, on the product page and in the FAQ, before you order, because the law only allows the exception when you have been informed of it beforehand.

What you keep, no matter what

The exception above covers *changing your mind*. It changes nothing about your statutory rights if the item is not what it should be. If your order arrives damaged, misprinted, incomplete, or never arrives, that is our problem to fix: see the refund policy.

Your photos and your description

You confirm that you have the right to use the photos you upload, and that you have the agreement of the adults shown. Please do not upload photos of other people's children.

We may refuse to illustrate a request that is unlawful, hateful, or that depicts someone in a way they have not agreed to. If we refuse, you are not charged.

Liability

We are liable for the item we sell you and for the service we provide. We are not liable for delays caused by the carrier, by customs, or by an address that turns out to be wrong.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Belgium. If something goes wrong, write to hello@tellmestories.ai first. We would much rather fix it than argue about it.

If we cannot agree, EU consumers can use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, and you keep the right to go to the courts that the law makes available to you.
